DANCE to LIFE Eau de parfum Raffle Draw

“Dance to Life” Raffle in Support of the danceScape Endowment Fund.

To contact Bonita about the Raffle, Dance to Life eau de parfum, or complimentary Mary Kay Skin Care consultation, please email cib@sympatico.ca

During the past year, Bonita Cheddie has become a part of our danceScape family. She originally registered for our danceTONEclass in support of a friend, and also for therapy following a car accident.
Bonita is a retired Bank Manager and became a Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics in 2003. She has always been passionate about enriching the lives of others and so this was a perfect fit for her as this was also the mission of the late Mary Kay Ash when she formed her company. One of Bonita’s philosophies is: “Life isn’t about how to survive the storm but how to DANCE in the rain”.

So with this in mind she has donated a bottle of Mary Kay’s special edition “Dance to Life” eau de parfum to be raffled off at the Dance Crawl (Williamsburg Uptown) this Saturday with all proceeds benefiting the danceScape Endowment Fund. Raffle Tickets cost $1.00 each or you may purchase 10 tickets for $5.00.

Some of you are not able to make this event but you will still have the opportunity to obtain tickets if you choose to do so at danceScape’s classes this week. States Bonita:

I would like to extend to all members of the danceScape family, male and female, the offer of a free skin care consultation without any obligation to purchase products. Please fill in a ballot and your name will also be entered for a free draw for a basket of Mary Kay products.

While it is true that Mary Kay has products for the entire body, I have chosen to highlight three areas associated with Dance this special week: The feet of course, then the hands and finally lips for that perfect smile.

Please visit the display at the back and perhaps sample some of the products. As part of my support of the danceScape Endowment Fund, please note that all the profits arising from sales this week will be donated to this worthwhile effort.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR: What’s on YOUR Bucket List?

danceScape Social Outing:  Swing Out to Victory at Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum: Saturday, Nov. 8th, 6 – 1:00 a.m.

Come join the merriment and frivolity at the annual Swing Out to Victory! Dinner/Dance as the Toronto All-Star Big Band performs nostalgic tunes from the 1930s and ’40s. Feel the spirit of the 1940s as we dance among the vintage aircraft of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Dressing in vintage fashions and Allied Forces uniforms of the 1940s is strongly encouraged but not necessary. Last year the silent auction was such a huge success, it’s coming back! The event will feature Swing Dance Lessons – Prizes – Giveaways – Best Vintage Dressed Contest!

danceScape is putting together a group table for “Dinner and Dance”. Call or Email to reserve a spot with us and make your cheque to “Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum“. The buffet dinner consists of a Spring Salad served with Fresh-baked Buns. The Entrée is your choice of Slow Roasted Beef with Gravy or Slow Roasted Chicken with Gravy, with Roasted Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables & Penne Pasta with Marinara or Alfredo Sauce followed by Dessert served with Freshly Brewed Coffee and Orange Pekoe Tea.

“Dance Only” tickets are available directly from the museum. RSVP at events@dancescape.com, call 905-633-8808 or click here to register online.

danceScape Social Outing:  Chi (Qi) Gong Open House at Toronto Botanical Gardens: Sunday, Nov. 16th, 3 – 6:30 pm

danceFLOW/lifeFLOW Chi Gong by danceScape is a new program that will be launching in downtown Burlington this January, in conjunction with danceScape and The Seventh Happiness School of Chi Gong. Created by Robert Tang & Beverley Cayton-Tang, former 3-time Canadian and 2-time North American Undefeated Amateur Standard Ballroom Champions as seen on Dragons’ Den, ParticipACTION, and Healthy Gourmet, the program will be a fusion breathing, stretching, muscle toning/strengthening, and Chi (Qi)Gong energy flow movements to a mix of Ballroom, Latin and World music.

Robert & Beverley initially started learning traditional “Yang-style” Tai Chi & martial arts-based Chi Gong two years ago from local instructor, Bruce Leung, in Burlington, as part of their “Bucket List” to try something different and new, after Robert’s mother passed away from Breast Cancer. They recently discovered and connected with Master/Sifu Teresa Yeung, founder of The Seventh Happiness School, which set them on an inspiring journey to learn Chi Gong for health, mental wellness, and medicinal healing.

They were thrilled when Teresa invited them to showcase danceFLOW/lifeFLOW Chi Gong as well as an honour “Waltz” dance demonstration, as part of her school’s Chi(Qi) Open House at the Toronto Botanical Garden (777 Lawrence Avenue East), Sun., Nov. 16th, 3 to 6:30 p.m. Robert & Beverley are excited to be learning from and working with Teresa and her instructor team to introduce and integrate Teresa’s Medical QiGong program as part of danceScape’s “danceFLOW/lifeFLOW Chi Gong” program in the Burlington/Halton, Stoney Creek, Hamilton, and surrounding areas. RSVP at events@dancescape.com, call 905-633-8808 or click here to register online.
